love your site. i check it all the time. in prague now, so internet connection and language is tricky otherwise id attach tracks. Here are two "must haves" from the vault. 1: STAGGOLEE by Pacific Gas and Electric. Grab it off the DEATH PROOF soundtrack (i hate pulling off soundtracks but this one is too good) 2: WHAT'D I SAY by Pops Staples, Albert King and Steve Cropper off of JAMMED TOGETHER. Life changing. Thanks for everything.
Artist: Darondo Song: Didn't I Album:Let My People Go I'll send you an invite to oink if you don't already have one...let me know. I'll drop by here later. peace.
Also, I don't know if you have seen this or heard it. I have only found it on youtube but this version of "It's Man's World" performed by James Brown and Luciano Pavarotti with a full string section from an orchestra backing them is amazing. Way better than I expected and not nearly as cheesy. Is there anyone with a more interesting sense of groove than James Brown?
Here is what it said. The other thing I have been loving lately is "Dreams of Freedom: Ambient Translations of Bob Marley in Dub" by Bill Laswell. Normally I am very skeptical of remix albums especially when they are remixes of great artists like Bob Marley but this one really won me over in a big way.
Also love the site. Been gone on all-star break vacation and am catching up on some old posts. This is both new and should tie in with your July 4th thread too.
Check out Michael McDermotts new song "The American in Me" great lyrics.............
Damn missed out on the great Al Green stuff at the bottom of the page. Any chance that stuff will come back up in the future?

Oh, I realize I only previewed my other comment.

How about "I Just Can't Get You Out of My Mind" - a seldom played track by The Four Tops. Seldom played over here in the UK, anyway. Really good!
2nd the Darondo. "Didn't I" or "Legs" too. He's fantastic.
Thanks for the Darondo recommendations - good stuff!
I emailed you an invite to Oink.

I've really been enjoying this Fraser & Debolt album, as posted and recommended by Grown So Ugly.
Also, Dave Evans' Elephantasia (from Time Has Told Me).
And thanks to the others for the Darondo recommendation.
