THE MUGS out of NYC have caught my attention. They have a Myspace page and a song called "Broken Signals" that I can't get out of my head. Indie college type rock, but with more mature writing.
There is a band called the PEACHBONES out of Ohio that I also love. Their song "Ghosts" hits me real hard. It's on their website http://www.thepeachbones.com Great voice and great song.
Finally, I like a band called THE QUAHAUGS out of New Hampsire, my home state. Straight ahead rock for the most part, but their CD shows a lot of influences & styles. I love their song "Full Bloom". Unique voice and guitar sound. http://www.thequahaugs.com
